(Yes, I think that if Melinda really wanted to have friends and to stop being an outcast she would try a bit harder because friends doesn't just come like that or fall from the sky and say "Yo, do you want to be my friend", some does but not all of them and in her case they definitely don't)

  1. I have to say that I do not agree with you completely about your answer to question 4.
The mood of the book is very somber, which means dark and gloomy, because Melinda just mopes around as far as we know and doesn't try to help her situation.

  2. I totally do agree with you. Melinda doesn't do anything to get herself out of this situation but I can't really judge her for the moment because she has a secret that we know nothing about and it's making this book dark because she keeps that secret deep inside her and she doesn't want to say it or can't say it, god knows why. Also she kinda gets bullied during the pep rally because of it and it's kinda sad because the bullies bullied her without knowing why she called the cops.

  3. I disagree with you for question number 6. I do not believe that Heather really does care about Melinda as she does not act like a true friend. For example during the assembly when that girl kicked Melinda in the back and called her rude names Heather just acted as a bystander and did not stand up for Melinda like a real caring friend. I feel like Heather is just using Melinda as a "friend" and will later on in the novel ditch her for different friends.
